Cambridge Fire Department is constantly seeking to increase public
awareness of fire safety and the fire service. The department
will be using this Web site as an added tool to emphasize home fire
safety and our fire prevention programs.

New
Cambridge
Firefighters Local 910 website launched recently.

New
Fire Truck has arrived.
The
new Engine #3 has arrived and has been placed in service. This
truck is a 2007 Pierce Contender from Pierce Manufacturing in
Appleton, Wisconsin.

The
Engine has a 1500 gallon per minute pump, 750 gallon water tank,
seating for 4 firefighters and will respond to emergencies in
Cambridge and Cambridge Township. This Engine replaces another
Pierce that provided 20 years of service.

The
department would like to thank those
who helped make this purchase possible!

department announces the deaths
of Fire Chief Thomas "Ed" Hockenberry, Assistant
Fire Chief Fred Steele, and Assistant Fire Chief William
Briggs. All the chiefs were retired.
